Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Symptoms

Carpal tunnel syndrome has become increasingly common these days, especially considering the fact that people are spending more time typing away on their phones and computers than ever before. Specifically, carpal tunnel is a syndrome where excessive pressure is put on the median nerve within the hand.
Here at Rhino Chiropractic & Holistic Wellness Center, carpal tunnel syndrome is just one of many conditions we're able to treat using our hands-on approach. For patients, it can be helpful to first understand the common signs of carpal tunnel syndrome.
Tingling and Numbness
Most people with carpal tunnel first begin to notice an unusual tingling and/or numbness in the hand. Often times, this numbness is felt when using the hand to grab an object or even type. The feeling may be in one or both hands, and it may not happen all the time.
Occasional Pains and Aches
Some with carpal tunnel will also experience occasional pains and aches not only in the hands in wrists, but often along the forearm as well. In some cases, the pain could become so bad that it will wake you up at night.
Stiffness in Fingers
When you wake up in the morning, do your fingers feel extremely stiff? If so, then you may be suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. Stiffness may also occur throughout the day, but is most common during periods of time when the hands haven't been used.
Contact a Specialist Today
Do any or all of these carpal tunnel symptoms resonate with you? If so, then it may be time to contact a specialist for an official evaluation and diagnosis. From there, consider reaching out to an experienced and skilled chiropractic professional for treatment.
